Know

GOD

Salvation

“…If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Romans 10:9-10 ESV

God loves you and has a perfect plan for your life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ESV

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10 ESV

Humanity is tainted by sin and therefore separated from God.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 ESV

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 ESV

Through Jesus we can have forgiveness of sin and be given new life.
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 ESV

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with scriptures.”1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ESV After Jesus ascended He left us the Holy Spirit who dwells in every believer. The Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit “…I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”John 14:6 ESV

We must place our faith in Jesus and receive the gift of salvation.
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,” John 1:12 ESV

“And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”” Acts 16:31 ESV

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. I believe you gave your life for me, so that I may be saved from destruction, have a brand new start and live eternally with you. Forgive me of all my sins. I open the door of my heart and ask you to come in and be my Lord and Savior. May Your Spirit guide me all the days of my life. Amen

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16 ESV

Water baptism is a picture of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.
“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

Romans 6:3-4 ESV

Water baptism is a public display of the inward decision. Jesus died and was buried in a grave. When we are water baptized, we ‘bury’ our old life under the water.
Jesus rose in victory. We come out of the water ‘alive and brand new’ in Christ. Our old self is gone and washed clean, and we begin new in our relationship with Jesus.

What is child dedication?

To dedicate our children means that we know they ultimately belong to God and have been born to experience His love and to serve Him. A child dedication is a ceremony to make a commitment before the Lord that you will raise your child according to God’s Word and God’s way. You are committing, as Christian parents, to build your family on the Bible and have them be a part of the local church.
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

You are also committing to be a Christ-like example and seek to lead your children to a personal faith in Christ as soon as they are ready.

Declarations to speak over your child:

I declare that all the days of your life, you will be free from sickness and
disease. (Deuteronomy 7:15)
I declare that you will grow in wisdom and stature and obtain favor with
God and with men. (Luke 2:52)
I declare that you will grow in the grace and knowledge of your Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18)
I declare that you will hear and follow the voice of the Lord. (John 10:5)
I declare that you will be strong and full of courage. (Joshua 1:9)
I declare that you will trust and know that your help comes from the Lord,
and He is your protector. (Psalm 121)

Scriptures to speak over your child:

Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 29:11 –  “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Isaiah 44:24 – “This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the Lord, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself,”
Psalm 139:13-14 – “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.”
Psalm 127:3-5 – “Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”

Generosity is our heartbeat

A step in our spiritual journey is generosity. Jesus is the greatest example of what it means to be generous. He so generously came to this earth to save a lost and dying world by lovingly giving His life for each and every one of us. He GAVE the ultimate gift and paid the ultimate price. When people invest their time, talent and treasure at Elevate Life, it equips us all to accomplish the Great Commission. Our generosity confirms that we are placing our treasure where our heart is (Matthew 6:33), and that we are living to give like Jesus did (John 3:16). We do this by serving on teams and giving in our finances.
