Our

pastors.

Jeremy and Carissa have each been in full-time ministry for over 25 years. For the past 8 years, they were on staff at Elevate Life Church in Frisco, TX as executive pastors under Pastors Keith and Sheila Craft. In 2021, they began to feel a pull back to New England where Carissa was born and raised. As they shared their heart and vision with their pastors, they were given full support to bring Elevate Life Church to Connecticut. Jeremy and Carissa are honored to continue the legacy of Carissa’s parents, Joe and Linda DeAngelo who founded Good News Christian Church 35 years ago. In 2022, Jeremy & Carissa were installed as the Lead Pastors rebranding Good News to Elevate Life Church CT. Jeremy & Carissa are excited to be in Connecticut and pastoring this life-giving church made up of a body of believers who desire for all people to feel that they belong from the moment they enter the doors.

Our beliefs.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in 3 persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:6-8

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin is lost and powerless to save himself.

Genesis 1:26, Romans 6:23

We believe that the only hope for man is to believe on Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, fully God, fully man. Through faith in Christ’s life, death and resurrection, and the forgiveness of our sins, mankind is redeemed. Salvation is a God-given gift to humanity, and to take part in it, we must accept it.

We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in all believers, and through baptism with the Holy Spirit, believers are empowered for Christian service and gifted for this service. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are active and necessary for today.

We believe in the imminent and personal return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, both global and local, and is composed of individuals who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that Christ Jesus is the head and Lord of the church. The mission of the church is worship, evangelism, discipleship and the nurturing and care of one another. We believe in the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry.

God wants to know you personally and have a relationship with you. When you are with us, we want you to experience the love of God expressed through our relevant worship and transformational messages. It is important to us that you feel welcomed and at home and know how much you are loved by God.

If you are looking to get connected further at Elevate Life, we invite you to join one of our many servant leader teams. We like to use the term servant leader instead of volunteer because the role of a leader is always to serve first. In Matthew 20:26, Jesus said that if we truly desire to be great, we must serve. We want to help you grow and develop in your faith while you create deep and meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. In addition to our weekly services, we accomplish this objective through men’s and women’s gatherings and a leadership track.

Show Generosity.

A step in our spiritual journey is generosity. Jesus is the greatest example of what it means to be generous. He so generously came to this earth to save a lost and dying world by lovingly giving His life for each and every one of us. He GAVE the ultimate gift and paid the ultimate price. By investing our time, talent and treasure through serving on a team and giving our tithes and offerings, generosity is displayed.
