Our

pastors.

Jeremy and Carissa Baker have been in full-time ministry for over 25 years and are the lead pastors of Elevate Life Church in Wallingford, CT, a dynamic, thriving church which in the past 2 years has grown from 70 people to over 1,000 on a weekly basis. In 2021, after serving at Elevate Life Church in Frisco, TX, they began to feel a pull back to New England where Carissa was born and raised. As they shared their heart and vision with their pastors, Keith and Sheila Craft, they were given full support to bring Elevate Life Church to Connecticut. Jeremy and Carissa have a heart to encourage personal growth and development by giving practical tools and handles that people can apply to their lives in order to be the best version of themselves that God has called them to be. Their enthusiasm, and passion for people is evident is every aspect of ELC where the mission and purpose is simply – Making Heaven More Crowded.

Prior to lead pastoring, they have both served in many facets of the local church and have traveled extensively around the world preaching to millions through massive evangelistic events. The Bakers have been married for 25 years and their two sons and daughter in love serve alongside them in the church.

.

Jesus is everything.

He is our why. (John 3:16-18)

People are our pursuit.

We see you. We celebrate you. We are here for you.

Generosity is our heartbeat.

Makes us healthy. Makes us happy. Makes us have longer life. Generosity improves our relationships.

Servant leadership is our privilege.

Jesus served and loved people no matter who they were. (Mark 10:43 MSG, Matthew 10:42)

Honor is how we lead.

What you honor is what you become. What you honor is what you have access to. Always honor no matter what. What we dishonor we repel.

Passion is our drive.

Passion is attractive. Without passion, nothing great ever gets built. Passion is energy. (Romans 12:11 NIV)

Our beliefs.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in 3 persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:6-8

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but as a result of sin is lost and powerless to save himself.

Genesis 1:26, Romans 6:23
We believe that the only hope for man is to believe on Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, fully God, fully man. Through faith in Christ’s life, death and resurrection, and the forgiveness of our sins, mankind is redeemed. Salvation is a God-given gift to humanity, and to take part in it, we must accept it.
Romans 10:9,10,13, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:1-10
We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in all believers, and through baptism with the Holy Spirit, believers are empowered for Christian service and gifted for this service. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are active and necessary for today.
1 Corinthians 12
We believe that eternal life in Heaven is the reward of all who believe and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
John 3:16, Revelation 21:8
We believe in the imminent and personal return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 22:20, John 14:3
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, both global and local, and is composed of individuals who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that Christ Jesus is the head and Lord of the church. The mission of the church is worship, evangelism, discipleship and the nurturing and care of one another. We believe in the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry.
Matthew 28:18-20, Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 2:19-22, Ephesians 4:12

Show Generosity.

A step in our spiritual journey is generosity. Jesus is the greatest example of what it means to be generous. He so generously came to this earth to save a lost and dying world by lovingly giving His life for each and every one of us. He GAVE the ultimate gift and paid the ultimate price. By investing our time, talent and treasure through serving on a team and giving our tithes and offerings, generosity is displayed.
